According to Euromonitor, a global market research firm, the number of companion animals raised in over 60 major countries around the world is expected to increase from 1.87 billion in 2020 to 1.97 billion in 2026. This means a lot of people chose to live with animals as companions.
Article 92 of the Civil Code of the Republic of Korea (Animals) “Animals shall be treated as physical substances.”
However, the Civil Code of the Republic of Korea still defines animals as objects. This means, that leagally, a stuffed dog and a living dog is legally considered the same objects. So naturally, animal rights lawsuits are considered 'lost lawsuits' or 'lawsuits that are bound to be lost'
This series reconstructs shocking and unfortunate animal-related incidents with a light touch, accusing those around us who despise 'life'. The series also wishes to talk about how there can be no human justice where there is no justice for animals.
