Summary

Alain and Emma go internal to four temples in South Korea and stay with the temple chefs. The chefs are monks who have been recognized their authority as the masters of Korean temple food: Sunjae / Gyeho / Dae-an / Jeokmun

A road filled with early mornings and hard labor.  They learn to find the ingredients and prepare the dishes in accordance with traditional methods. Meanwhile, they hear the extraordinary stories of the chefs and meet many people in the temple and the surrounding society.

Each episode focuses on one of the phases in Buddhism: birth, aging, sickness, and death. Each of the four masters Alain and Emma have been with has a story that relates to one of these phases and has a different view on the food and dishes attached to this phase. And Alain and Emma cook together with masters, trying to understand the spirit they speak of. At the end, we can see each Korean temple food that is born in their hands. Through, we can meet the world of real taste they lead.
