'Planning Intent'

'The Hidden Master: Taebaekho' is a youth detective drama that tackles the pressing issue of “social recluses” in contemporary Korean society head-on.
Set against the backdrop of a hyper-competitive society obsessed with specs, rankings, and survival, the drama delves into the reality of young people gradually retreating from the world. It raises the core question: “Why do these young people choose isolation over connection?”
And it explores the answer through episodic investigations.
The main character, Baek-ho, and his task force gradually uncover the stories of socially withdrawn individuals. As they peel back the layers of each case, they strive to help these outsiders reconnect with the world in their own way.
The story is loosely inspired by real-life companies that discreetly support shut-ins, and takes a fictionalized, serial approach with strong realism and deep social resonance.
By portraying the inner wounds and struggles of these characters, and their journey through healing, failure, reconnection, and growth, the drama delivers a hopeful and warm message:

'Synopsis'

Baek-ho (28), a young man who failed to enter college after a violent incident, is drifting through life. One day, he unexpectedly joins a grassroots project aimed at helping “social recluses” reintegrate into society. Together with Boss (the team leader) and Dexter (the analyst), Baek-ho becomes a member of the “Outsider Rescue Task Force.”
As they meet various individuals with their own reasons for withdrawing from the world, Baek-ho slowly opens his eyes to what it means to truly listen to someone’s story.
