"We are planning to debut a new boy group in partnership with UMG for the global stage. We will select the members by holding a global audition."

Based on its experience that brought BTS to the world, Big Hit Entertainment will oversee the discovery and training of artists as well as fan content production and communication with fans.
Universal Music will be in charge of music production and global distribution.
The audition is expected to be produced in partnership with a U.S. media company in 2022.
The two companies also aim to boost fan interaction through Weverse, a fan community platform created by Big Hit.
This will enable direct communications between artists and fans allowing fans to explore new content and products.
Some of Universal Music's artists like New Hope Club are already using the platform and others are expected to join soon.
