    Introduction


    This research included the overall cartoon usage behavior and the perception of citizens aged 10 to 59 years old from 2019 to 2020, and examined the usage of cartoons via diverse media regarding digital cartoon (e.g., webtoon, scanned comics, etc.), as well as paper (published) cartoons and cartoon-related perceptions. To this end, this research measured the level, frequency, and different medium used when Koreans consume cartoons. The objective of this research is to provide key inputs for the establishment of rational policies for cartoon content users and industries. Moreover. this research is to enhance the development, production, and marketing activities in the cartoon industry.
