Entertainment behemoth CJ ENM is slated to hold the online Korean culture festival "KCON:TACT 4 U" from June 19 to 27.

It is the fourth season of "KCON:TACT," an online version of the Korean culture and lifestyle event KCON, which had been held every year since 2012 until the beginning of the pandemic in early 2020.

CJ ENM said in a statement Monday that the event will look similar to K-pop groups' world tours and the fans can expect to see them performing individually and together on the stage.

"We will strive to maximize a sense of realism by utilizing state-of-the-art technologies such as V DIUM," the company said. With V DIUM, viewers can enjoy virtual gigs at large stadiums.

The company will also bring changes to some of its fan events, while continuing to run the "Meet&Greet" session that allows fans to interact with their favorite stars closely through greetings and fun games.

"We will put more effort in making KCON:TACT a platform that can satisfy artists and their followers," a company official said.

The names of the K-pop stars for the upcoming season have not been revealed yet. IKON, ENHYPEN, Sunmi, HyunA and Kang Daniel were among the stars who participated in the previous event.

Between 2012 and 2019, KCON events had been held across the world, including Japan, Australia, France and the United States, attracting some 1.1 million music fans. In the case of KCON:TACT, its first three seasons featured more than 80 individual K-pop singers and groups and drew 12 million viewers.

KCON:TACT 4U will be viewable on YouTube and TVING.
