Arts and culture are the foundation of the creative economy, which generates more than 22-hundred billion U.S. dollars annually and provides more jobs to workers aged between 18 and 25 than any other fields of employment.
Now match that with the buzzwords of 2021 like virtual reality, projection mapping, interactive act, and AR technology and you've got creative power that goes beyond borders and language.

There is an exhibition showcasing just that at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris -- it's definitely attractive all our senses featuring BTS, Oscar-winning 'Parasite' and the Korean alphabet, Hangeul. It's called "Korea: Cubically Imagined," and joining us live from Paris is the Daniel Kapelian, producer of this special exhibition.

First of all, give us a brief intro about this exhibition. How did you come about producing this exhibition?

So, why don't you introduce us some of the main highlights of the exhibition?

Why were Korean contents chosen for this special exhibition? I don't think I need to ask you this obviously BTS but why BTS, why the film Parasite and why the Korean alphabet, Hangeul?

The exhibition demonstrates how digital technologies could give new values and more immersive experiences by enhancing existing cultural contents. How can visitors - both who are able to physically visit the venue and online visitors - enjoy all these innovative experience such as the 360-degrees VR of featured artwork?

What do global cultural promotion agencies such as UNESCO strive to demonstrate through such crossover exhibitions about the revolutionizing nature of today's digital environment in the curual and creative industries? Could this present new economic and trade models?

Daniel Kapelian, producer of "Korea: Cubically Imagined." The exhibition runs until this Friday, Paris time so visit the UNESCO website and make sure you check it out if you haven't already. Daniel Kapelian, many thanks for speaking to us tonight.
