After seven weeks at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the BTS song "Butter" has been dethroned, but the new Number 1 is by none other than BTS themselves.

I wanna dance, the music's got me going Ain't nothing that can stop how we move, yeah

The K-pop stars' latest release "Permission to Dance" went straight to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
That makes BTS the only act other than Drake to replace themselves at the top of the chart.
They are now closing the gap on Ariana Grande for the most number one debuts on the Hot 100.
Ariana Grande currently has five hit songs that went straight to number one.
BTS have four alongside Drake and Justin Bieber.
Those four songs are "Life goes on," "Dynamite," "Butter," and the latest hit, "Permission to Dance."

"These songs have an overarching similarity in that they are not decadent or dark like some of the other pop songs. They are bright feel-good songs that strive in a direction that improves the quality of life and brings happiness."

Before its release, the song was highly anticipated as Ed Sheeran had worked on it with BTS.

"Collaborating with a famous star creates a lot of buzz. BTS's fanbase will broaden, because the fans of that star will start paying attention to them as well. Also having the group's name up with world-famous stars helps build BTS's reputation as a mainstream artist in the West."

The Billboard chart isn't the only place that BTS has been gaining recognition.
Japan's famed music popularity chart, the Oricon weekly chart, was released on Tuesday with BTS's "Butter" album on top.
