Korean Cultural Center UK (KCCUK) is poised to present an online event titled, "Hallyu Con 2021 Live from London" on Sept. 4, with the purpose of celebrating the worldwide popularity of Korean pop culture.

In collaboration with the Korean Wave Communities, the center will hold the one-day event under the theme, "Healing with Hallyu." It aims to connect Korean culture enthusiasts and K-pop fans alike through what is set to be an "unmissable experience." The festival will be streamed free of charge on the YouTube channels of KCCUK and Hallyu Con.

K-pop girl group Laboum, best known for its hit "Imagine More" (2016), will give a performance during the event. Debuted in 2014 under NH Media, Laboum currently consists of Yujeong, Soyeon, ZN, Haein and Solbin. The group recently enjoyed belated success on music streaming charts with "Imagine More," which climbed back up the charts five years after its release. K-pop boy band MustB will also perform.

"Laboum and MustB's set will be accompanied by exciting and engaging content displaying Korean fashion (both hanbok and contemporary), beauty, drama, film and music," the KCCUK said in a statement. "Some well-known influencers will be on hand, too."

Programs like "A showcase of Korean Fashion," "An overview of Korean Cuisine," "A look at Korean fitness trends" and "An insight into Korean dramas and films" will be offered during the event. The audience will also have chances to share their thoughts and experiences with Korean content.

"This year's edition of Hallyu Con is an opportunity to further strengthen the hallyu community and the hallyu friendships that reach out across the UK and Europe," KCCUK Director Lee Jung-woo said.

The KCCUK was opened by the Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2008 to enhance friendship, amity and promote understanding between Korea and the UK through cultural and educational activities.

"Hallyu Con 2021 Live from London" is scheduled to start at 2 p.m., Sept. 4 (local time.)
