South Korean filmmaker Bong Joon-ho has become the first Korean to be appointed to lead the jury of the Venice International Film Festival.
The renowned director has been appointed the president of the international jury.
He will oversee a seven-person jury to help select this year's award winners in categories including the Golden Lion for best film, the Silver Lion Prize, and Grand Jury Prize.
The festival returns this year after being cancelled last year due to COVID-19.
It will take place from September 1st to the 11th.
