Asia's largest virtual modeling contest kicks off

The 11th season of Asia's largest modeling contest, titled "2021 Asia Model Festival Untact Face of Asia," has kicked off.
This year's event opened Oct. 28 through online channels on YouTube and TikTok, where 50 models from 20 Asian countries will compete in an elimination format until the final on Dec. 18. Prize money of 30 million won ($25,000) will be given to the grand prize winner; nine other winners in different categories will receive a total of 70 million won. The 11th season of Asia's largest modeling contest, titled '2021 Asia Model Festival Untact Face of Asia,' has kicked off.
The Asia Model Festival Organizing Committee (AMFOC), the event host, said it carefully selected 50 models from all across Asia.
For their first challenge, the participants will be asked to introduce their cultures and the beauty of Seoul, the host city, through video missions. The bottom 20 will be eliminated.
The top 10 finalists will be announced on Dec. 18 at the Seoul Trade Exhibition Center. The event will also be livestreamed via AMF's YouTube channel.
Last year's virtual event attracted more than 100 million fans and supporters. The videos submitted by the contestants have garnered over 3 million views on YouTube and 7.6 million views on Facebook.
