BTS has finished two of its first long-awaited in-person concerts since the start of the pandemic playing to a sold out crowd in LA's SoFi Stadium for two nights in a row. Due to COVID-19, the band was forced to postpone and cancel what could have been its biggest international tour to date that involved nearly 40 concerts.
But BTS is now back on stage in front of its adoring fans.
After Saturday and Sunday's shows, the septet is now midway through its four concert-residency in Los Angeles.
Ticket prices had started at 75 dollars.
Some were even being resold for more than 15 thousand U.S. dollars.
Regardless, tickets for all four shows sold out in an instant.
After the first concert, member RM said he was very happy to see fans again.
"Seeing all the fans, seeing the stadium filled with all the fans yesterday got me really emotional beyond wordsGoing back on track and seeing all the fans and seeing all the people finally in two years, it really makes us feel like this really is the beginning of our new chapter
Fans too were excited to see their idols perform in person.
"We are super excited to see them tonight. It's been so long. We saw them almost two years ago at Jingle Ball. Finally, this is another opportunity to see them again."
"Yes, we saved all of our money to come here and our dream is going to come true tonight."
BTS has two more "Permission to Dance on Stage" concerts to go on December 1st and 2nd. To enter, fans must present proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test taken within the past three days. Shin Ye-eun, Arirang News.
