The Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) has successfully finished the ON:Hallyu Festival that was held throughout November to entertain global hallyu fans and to help open up overseas business opportunities for local K-content companies.

The month-long festival, which kicked off on Nov. 1 and lasted until Nov. 30, consisted of a series of events, including a concert, exhibition and live commerce shows.

"We could grasp the power and reputation that Korean content is receiving from the people around the world, even through the tough times of the COVID-19 pandemic," Cho Hyeon-rae, the president of KOCCA, said in a statement, Thursday.

"Our agency will continue to support K-content-related industries that have been getting more popular recently, such as K-food and beauty."

The festival's Unite ON: Live Concert, held online on Nov. 6, garnered a total of over 1.7 million views. The concert featured performances from 11 K-pop musicians and teams, including Stray Kids, ITZY, The Boyz, SHINee's Key and HyunA&DAWN.

Stray Kids, ITZY, The Boyz and Thai rapper-singer BamBam also held fan meeting events, interacting with fans around the world online.

For the online exhibition, held as part of the festival, 76 local companies related to K-content took part and accomplished almost 500 business transactions worth about $110 million, with over 137 buyers from 11 countries.

BamBam and girl group Secret Number, which includes Indonesian member Dita Karang, held live commerce shows to sell K-food and beauty products online.
