Detail

KRAFTON has revealed its plans to create a mobile version of the hit indie open-world game 'Palworld,' which bears conceptual similarities to the Pokémon franchise. To spearhead this initiative, the company has formed the 'Palworld Mobile' production team within its PUBG Studio and is actively recruiting key development staff, including a technical director.
Originally launched in early access by Japanese indie developer Pocket Pair, Palworld has achieved remarkable success, selling over 10 million copies within a month and peaking at 2 million concurrent players globally. Despite facing criticism for its likeness to Pokémon, the game has enjoyed significant commercial triumph.
KRAFTON intends to preserve the vast open-world, survival, and crafting elements that define the original game while optimizing it for mobile platforms. This development aligns with KRAFTON's 'Scale Up the Creative' strategy, which focuses on acquiring promising IPs and establishing the company as a leading global game distributor.
