Detail

The Korean government is poised to launch a 'K-Content Value Chain' to bolster the overseas growth of K-content-related industries. This effort plans to foster cooperation between large and small companies in neighboring sectors, enabling their joint entrance into international markets alongside K-content.
On the 30th, the plan was unveiled during the inaugural 'K-Content Export Council' meeting, headed by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Yoo In-chon, at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul. The government introduced a detailed strategy aimed at increasing the export of K-content and its related sectors.
This initiative will see collaboration among eight key government ministries, including the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy. The government plans to facilitate collaborative product planning and development to maximize the synergy of K-content IP across industries. It will promote indirect advertising via global OTT platforms and introduce an 'IP Agent' and a '1:1 Export Consultant System.' To enhance export information, the 'K-Content Export Platform Welcon' will expand its coverage from nine to thirteen target countries.
