The Korea Communications Commission, in partnership with the Korea Broadcast Advertising Corporation, will host the '2024 International Online Video Service (OTT) Forum' on July 31 at the Ambassador Seoul Pullman Hotel. This third installment of the forum, themed "Building the Future in Our Own Way," aims to facilitate knowledge sharing among operators in the OTT and media industries, focusing on strategies to overcome industry challenges and foster advancement.
The forum will include six sessions, beginning with a keynote speech by Carol Choi, head of content strategy at Disney+. Notable highlights include Gary Chai from Taiwan's FET, who will discuss streaming competition and innovation, alongside Paul Wallace from Publicis Group, providing insights into the Middle Eastern OTT market. Additionally, Vivek Couto of MPA will evaluate changes in the global OTT market, with presentations covering diverse strategies, from lessons in the music industry to avenues for international expansion.
Further presentations will feature the strategies of Samsung's FAST service, discussed by Vice President Choi Yong-hoon, and AI localization aims presented by Zhang Minjing of IYUNO Korea. The event will conclude with a roundtable led by Professor Ryu Jaeyoung of Sungshin University, chaired by Moon Chul-soo of the Korea OTT Forum, focusing on collaborative efforts between platforms and content producers.
