Detail
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will work with the Korea Copyright Commission to seek public input on refining AI copyright regulations. This initiative, open for feedback until August 6th, aims to draw on the perspectives of the public, rights holders, and AI companies before implementing reforms.
Feedback is being sought on topics such as legal access to AI training data, the disclosure of AI training data lists, protection and registration of AI-generated content, and labeling practices for AI-generated works. Those interested can submit their thoughts in any length via the commission's website.
By the end of the year, the ministry plans to announce a clear policy direction on AI copyright issues. This will align with the findings from the public survey, industry consultations, and the ongoing work of the AI Copyright Improvement Working Group. Copyright Bureau Director 정향미 highlighted the significance of engaging with diverse stakeholders as AI becomes central to cultural and artistic production.
