Vietnam-Korea Game Week 2024 is scheduled for November 23-24 at Hanoi National University Gymnasium, focusing on strengthening cultural ties through gaming. This marks the event's second installment by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam, in partnership with the Korean Cultural Center, Game Culture Foundation, and Hanoi National University. The initiative is supported by entities like the Korea Creative Content Agency, Korea Tourism Organization, NCSoft, Nexon Korea, NHN, and Pearl Abyss.
The event aims to boost the gaming industries and cultural connections between South Korea and Vietnam with various interactive programs. Key attractions include a gaming contest with awards, esports exchanges between Korean and Vietnamese students, an insightful talk show on the gaming industry, and a game experience center displaying Korean SME innovations. The event particularly appeals to Vietnam's youth, offering opportunities to engage with popular games like PUBG Mobile and gain knowledge from prominent gaming figures.
Additionally, the event will serve as a vibrant festival celebrating Korean culture, integrating traditional elements such as Korean cuisine, clothing, and tourism with gaming. It will also facilitate networking among government and corporate sectors from both nations, including the Game Culture Foundation and Vietnam's VTC, to discuss the holistic growth of the gaming industry. This event is poised to enhance cultural exchange and pave the way for Korean SME game developers to connect with local partners.
