Detail

The '2024 Korea Spotlight' event series, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism along with the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), has been successfully held in Germany, Japan, and Mexico. This initiative aims to enhance the global presence of K-pop and support the international growth of Korean musicians by opening new markets.
The event began in Hamburg, Germany, in September, continued to Tokyo, Japan, in October, and wrapped up in Mexico City in November. In Germany, there were 92 business consultations, showing a 42% increase from last year, and featured performances from artists such as Zion, Hypnosis Therapy, and Lim Kim. The Japan events highlighted artists like Glen Check, who has secured an upcoming tour in Tokyo and Osaka in January.
In Mexico, the event fostered connections between Korean musicians and influential industry figures in Latin America, showcasing performances by Zoopark and Ketova. The Ministry and KOCCA plan to extend this initiative next year, with scheduled events in Thailand, Australia, and the UK.
