The largest content IP event in Korea, the Character Licensing Fair, is set to open on July. The Korea Creative Content Agency announced that the "Character Licensing Fair 2024" will be held from the 18th to the 21st at COEX in Gangnam, Seoul.
This event, hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and co-organized by the Korea Creative Content Agency and COEX, showcases various content IPs, including characters, animation, and games, while providing new business opportunities. This year marks the 23rd edition of the fair, which will be significantly larger and free to attend.
Themed "Connecting Content IPs," the fair will highlight the power of character IPs across various genres and industries. It aims to create an enjoyable experience for children, the MZ generation (born between the early 1980s and early 2000s), and parents by featuring popular characters like Pororo and Kongsuni, as well as K-pop groups, webtoons, drama characters, and game characters.
