The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA) announced that 56 Korean indie games will be showcased at BitSummit 2024 in Kyoto from July 19-21. The Game Level Up Showcase (GLS) booth will feature standout games such as Jino Games' "Hello Seoul: Itaewon" and Sun Games' "Light Odyssey."
BitSummit is a global indie game exhibition that has attracted over 20,000 visitors annually since 2013. KOCCA's participation aims to support and promote the commercialization of domestic indie games through various international events.
Kim Nam-geol, head of KOCCA’s Game New Technology Division, emphasized the importance of indie games in expanding the ecosystem of K-games and expressed continued support for discovering and nurturing creative indie games.
