Seven webtoons published on major Korean platforms, including Naver Webtoon and Kakao Entertainment, have earned nominations for the "Best Webcomic" category at the Ringo Awards, one of America's top three comic awards. According to the Ringo Awards' website, the nominated webtoons are "30 Minutes Before Confession," "The Man Upstairs," "Hungry Heart," "I'm Dating a Psychopath," "Lore Olympus," "Nevermore," and "Senorita Cometa."
Five of these webtoons are serialized on Naver Webtoon's English platform, with "30 Minutes Before Confession" available on Ridi's global service Manta, and "Hungry Heart" accessible via Kakao Entertainment's North American platform Tapas. Notably, "Lore Olympus," which won in 2022 and 2023, has been nominated for the second consecutive year.
Additionally, several webtoons from Naver Webtoon and Ridi's international services have been recognized in the "Best Humor Webcomic" category. The Ringo Awards, established in 2017 to honor the late comic artist Mike Wieringo, will announce the winners at Baltimore Comic-Con on September 21.
