Detail
The Korea Creative Content Agency, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Korean Embassy in Vietnam, and the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam, has announced the 'K-Comics World Tour' exhibition. This event will run from July 7 to 22 at the Vincom Contemporary Art Museum in Hanoi, showcasing popular Korean webtoons, including the originals that inspired Netflix hits 'Itaewon Class' and 'Sweet Home.'
The exhibition will immerse visitors in the world of these webtoons with recreated settings like the streets of Itaewon and a ramshackle apartment from 'Sweet Home,' featuring characters and monsters from the stories. Webtoon creators Gwangjin of 'Itaewon Class' and Kim Kan-bi and Hwang Young-chan of 'Sweet Home' have contributed to the design of these exhibition spaces.
In addition to the recreated settings, the event offers interactive experiences such as webtoon coloring, postcard stamping, trying out recipes from the shows, and taking selfies with monsters. Visitors can also enjoy a webtoon library and dress in costumes from the series. On July 8, Gwangjin will host a talk show and drawing demonstration, along with a lecture on webtoon production and a cosplay session. The tour, which began in Manila, Philippines, in June, will continue to Jakarta, Brussels, Rome, and Singapore.
