'Black and White Chef' features 80 up-and-coming chefs, known as 'Black Spoons,' competing against 20 renowned chefs, or 'White Spoons,' in a variety of culinary challenges. Key participants include Baek Jong-won of The Born Korea and An Sung-jae of Mosu Seoul as judges, alongside celebrity chefs such as Lee Yeon-bok, Choi Hyun-seok, Edward Lee, Jung Ji-seon, and Oh Se-deuk.

The show's impressive lineup and expansive 1,000-pyeong set, which can accommodate 40 chefs simultaneously, have drawn considerable attention. Additionally, 'Black and White Chef' recently topped the weekly buzz rankings by Good Data Corporation, gaining strong recognition for many of its participants. Following the release of the first set of episodes on September 17, new episodes continue to be unveiled weekly, with the final pair scheduled for October 8.
