The acclaimed drama 'Stove League,' featuring Namkoong Min and Park Eun-bin, will be adapted for Japanese television. On August 28th, at COEX in Seoul, Studio S, a subsidiary of SBS, formalized a co-production deal with NTT Docomo Studio & Live of Japan.

Originally broadcast between 2019 and 2020, 'Stove League' follows the efforts to revitalize a professional baseball team stuck in last place. The series received widespread acclaim for its nuanced storytelling and compelling narrative, peaking at a 19.1% viewership rating.

The signing event took place during the 'International Broadcasting Video Market 2024' (BCWW 2024), supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, and organized by the Korea Creative Content Agency. Key attendees included Studio S representative Hong Sung-chang, along with actors Ha Do-kwon and Cha Yeop, who starred in the original series.
