HYBE's acclaimed webtoon 'Dark Moon: The Blood Altar,' crafted in collaboration with the musical group ENHYPEN, is poised for an anime adaptation in Japan. The renowned Japanese entertainment company Aniplex, famed for producing 'Demon Slayer,' disclosed the anime adaptation on September 16th, sharing teaser images and the title logo.

This adaptation marks the inaugural venture of a HYBE-produced story IP into the anime realm. 'Dark Moon: The Blood Altar' delves into a fantasy romance narrative centered on Suha, a female student transferring to Decelis Academy, and seven vampire boys. ENHYPEN has enhanced the storytelling experience by intertwining their music videos with the webtoon and performing the original soundtrack 'One In A Billion.'

Boasting 190 million views globally, the webtoon concluded in October of the previous year but continues to captivate fans through various collaborations, notably with Lotte World. Hwangbo Sang-woo, head of HYBE's Story Business Department, highlighted that this collaboration with Aniplex presents a significant opportunity to demonstrate HYBE's story IP's value on a global scale, aiming to produce a renowned work that appeals not only to webtoon aficionados but also to the broader anime audience.
