Ridi's web novel 'Under the Oak Tree' has surged to the New York Times bestseller list with its English hardcover edition. The company announced on the 21st that the novel debuted at 7th place in the hardcover fiction category just a week following its release, marking a remarkable milestone as the first Korean web novel to receive such honor.
Authored by Kim Suji, 'Under the Oak Tree' is celebrated for its in-depth world-building and intricate plotlines, which have garnered a dedicated global following within the romance fantasy genre. Last year, Ridi secured a partnership with Penguin Random House for the English publication rights, as part of a strategic effort to introduce the novel to a broader readership.
In another sign of its success, the English edition of 'Under the Oak Tree' topped Amazon's 'Romance Graphic Novels' category and made it to USA Today's bestseller list, showcasing its strong presence in international markets. Ridi has expressed intentions to continue its collaboration with Penguin Random House to produce more high-caliber works.
