Shinsegae I&C has secured an exclusive global licensing agreement for Team Tetrapod's detective game series IPs, including "Stepper Case" and its spin-off, "Stepper Ribbon." These games have become globally popular, capturing over 65% of their player base from international markets. Known for their intricate scenarios and gameplay, the "Stepper Series" boasts an "Overwhelmingly Positive" rating on Steam.
Under this agreement, Shinsegae I&C seeks to further engage the global market by developing a Nintendo Switch version of the series, targeting exclusivity in regions like Asia and North America by mid-next year. This initiative aligns with Shinsegae I&C's broader strategy to grow its console gaming portfolio, having already leveraged established IPs like "Lies of P," "Sanabi," and "WitchSpring R" since 2023 in Asian console package distribution.
Shinsegae I&C is also expanding its gaming portfolio with major console offerings, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and the Steam Deck portable gaming PC. Through collaborations with brands like Blizzard and Pokémon, the company aims to strengthen its influence in the global console gaming industry, blending its publishing expertise with domestic game IPs.
