“Riddle Town Bears” is an original character IP set in a classic old-town environment, built around humorous and fast-paced stories of detectives and villains chasing one another. The series delivers the message that “anyone can be a hero in everyday life,” focusing not only on solving cases but on how each character confronts problems in their own way, allowing audiences to relate and see themselves in the story.

Inspired by the retro atmosphere of an old town preserved within a modern city, the IP blends cultural influences to create a universe designed for global expansion. Rather than following the dark tone of traditional detective genres, it adopts a light, comedic approach combined with emotional storytelling, making it accessible and appealing to a wide age range. The dynamic relationship between detectives and villains highlights character interaction over a simple good-versus-evil structure, balancing action, comedy, and mystery.

The main character, Detective Harrison, runs the Harrison Detective Office. Though seemingly reserved, he is warm-hearted and dependable, treating the problems of local residents as his own. His assistant, Ricky, represents young adults at the start of their careers—sometimes clumsy, yet eager to grow and take on challenges. Through Ricky, the series conveys the idea that even imperfect people can become heroes to someone in need.

The villain bear, Hancock, is a comical antagonist whose poorly executed schemes often lead to failure. While he plays the role of a villain, he is talented at disguises and unusual inventions and occasionally even cooperates with the police, giving him a relatable and humorous personality rather than that of a typical evil character.

“Riddle Town Bears” follows the staff of the Harrison Detective Agency as they solve everyday mysteries in their quirky town. Through these stories, the IP delivers humor, emotional connection, and a sense of catharsis, reinforcing the concept that ordinary people—without superpowers—can still be heroes in their daily lives.

Business Description

We develop and operate content production, exhibition and distribution, merchandising, and licensing businesses based on our proprietary comic-based character IP, “Riddle Town Bears.” This bear character IP features a classic old-town atmosphere and detective-versus-villain narratives, and is developed as a story-driven original IP that is expanded into multiple business areas.

We have operated pop-up stores and flea market booths in major districts of Seoul, including Myeong-dong, Sinchon, and Seongsu, and have conducted integrated online and offline promotion through our website and SNS channels. Through these activities, we have expanded brand awareness and verified consumer interest in our character IP.

We participated in the H-armony Character IP Fair hosted by Hyundai Department Store and the KOCCA(Korea Creative Content Agency), as well as the Character Licensing Fair organized by the KOCCA, where we introduced our character content and confirmed market response through direct communication with visitors, thereby validating the industrial applicability of our character IP. In addition, we have continuously participated in major domestic fairs, including the Seoul Illustration Fair, to expand public recognition and demonstrate the business potential of our content. We have also taken part in multiple group illustration exhibitions and corporate collaboration projects such as the Crocs Art Contest and ISU Group Challenge Festa, confirming the feasibility of IP-based collaboration models.

Regarding overseas market expansion, we participated in the Taiwan Stationery Fair to introduce our character IP to international visitors and buyers and to assess local responses to our storytelling-driven character content. In addition, we participated in the Gwangju ACE Fair, where we held business meetings with overseas buyers and reviewed the potential for overseas licensing expansion using our character IP. Through exhibitions and consultations, we have confirmed market demand potential and content suitability in overseas markets. Based on these results, we plan to expand participation in exhibitions and business meetings in major Asian markets, including China and Japan, and to gradually promote overseas distribution and licensing partnerships.

Currently, we are producing a printed comic series based on our accumulated exhibition and market experience, expanding our omnibus-style episodic stories into publication content. These comics serve as the core story assets of our IP and as the foundation for future content and licensing businesses.

In addition, we operate a plush-toy-centered licensing business reflecting the characteristics of our bear characters. By applying the personalities and story settings of our main characters to physical products, we have demonstrated that our IP can be extended from storytelling content into practical merchandise and revenue models.
