In June 2022, CAKE acquired HYBE EDU, HYBE’s education and publishing division, and has since expanded its business across Korean language education, publishing, and offline experiential spaces powered by K-POP artist IP such as BTS, SEVENTEEN, ENHYPEN, and BLACKPINK. CAKE’s flagship project, the “Learn! KOREAN with BTS” series, is designed for global fans who want to better understand BTS’s words and music, enabling them to learn Korean in an engaging and structured way. The series was selected as an official gift for APEC ministerial meetings and has also been presented as a gift to former U.S. President Donald Trump, demonstrating its global recognition and cultural impact. In 2025, through an agreement with Hachette Book Group (U.S.), CAKE secured exclusive rights to publish and distribute BTS books across global English- and Spanish-speaking markets. In 2008, Tak Toon Enterprise Co., Ltd. was established in Seoul, South Korea. The U.S. corporation, Tak Toon Enterprise Inc., participated in the production of various animation series and animation advertisements, as well as providing pre-viz services for advertising agencies in New York. Since its establishment in 2008, Tak Toon Enterprise Co., Ltd. has been selected as a technology holding company by Chung-Ang University in 2013, and has been producing and distributing feature-length and short animations, TV series animations, licensing, and marketing. Tak Toon Enterprise Co., Ltd. has produced and aired stop-motion animation series <Galaxy Kids> and 2D digital animation series <The Forks with spiky hands>. They have completed airing the first and second seasons of the first 4K stop-motion animation in Korea, <Teenie Scouts Big Five>, and 2D animation <The world of curious Linda> on KBS 1TV. Currently, they are airing 2D animation <Booboo Man> on EBS, and <The world of curious Linda> season 2 is scheduled to air in the second half of 2023 on KBS 1TV.
