Summary

A heartfelt yet sharp-edged divorce courtroom journey of an icy powerhouse divorce attorney and an empathetic rookie as they navigate the raw realities of broken relationships while struggling to break out of their own shells.

With 17 years of experience, CHA EUN-KYUNG is a powerhouse divorce attorney at Daejung Law Firm renowned for her dedication to the firm's success. Every minute of her day is accounted for, and every case is a win for her record. She’s respected but distant and her bluntness often leaves her colleagues dreading her presence more than admiring it. Then one day, her orderly world is shaken as HAN YU-RI, an empathetic rookie lawyer, joins the team. Yu-Ri joins the Daejung force dreaming of making her mark in corporate law but is instead thrust into the divorce team. For Yu-Ri, each client is a person, not a case, and her empathy doesn’t fit well in Eun-Kyung’s result driven world. Their relationship begins with constant clashes, but things begin to shift as Yu-Ri stumbles upon a hidden vulnerability in Eun-Kyung, one she’s worked hard to keep under wraps.

Alongside them are JUNG WOO-JIN, Eun-kyung’s longtime colleague who balances her
intensity with warmth, and JEON EUN-HO, a perceptive, cheerful new hire who helps Yu-Ri navigate the team. Together, they tackle emotionally charged cases that challenge their values and stretch their limits. Through moments of heartbreak and humor, Eun-Kyung and Yu-Ri gradually redefine what it means to be true ‘good partners’, discovering in each other unlikely allies and friends, slowly breaking out of their shells.
