Summary
In the tumultuous political landscape of South Korea during the 1960s and 70s, opposition politician Kim Woon-bum dreams of bringing true democracy to the people. At his side stands the brilliant yet shadowy strategist Seo Chang-dae, whose radical and unconventional tactics begin to shake the foundations of the ruling party.
As their campaign gains momentum, Seo’s methods grow increasingly extreme, forcing Kim to confront a difficult truth: to win power, how far is he willing to compromise his ideals? The closer they move toward victory, the deeper the moral divide grows between them.
A gripping political drama based on true events, Kingmaker explores the fine line between conviction and ambition, and the personal cost of changing history.
