Kim Da-jung is an ordinary Korean office worker who suddenly finds herself possessed by a fictional character. She is possessed by a character in a serialized novel, Christine Rosalyn, a villainous character who dies early in the novel.

Thanks to Da-jung's possession, the original death is avoided, but only temporarily. She dies, and when she dies, she lives a life that returns to the point of possession.
