Summary

A dark-comic crime limited series set in Penzance, a working Cornish tourist town in England. Emmets means 'ants' and is a derogatory term for Tourists in Cornish.

Bored, aggrieved, and half-radicalized by right-wing YouTube algorithms, five local teenagers decide the only way to scare tourists off for good is to make one disappear. Their escalating, half-botched harassment campaign accidentally kills someone: a honeymooning Korean bride. The plan backfires completely. The town becomes more crowded than ever with press, police, and government officials from two continents, true-crime tourists, and one quiet, grieving widower who has nothing left to lose.

Structured around the killing as its inciting incident, the season tracks the friend group's unraveling, the uncoordinated collision of British and Korean law enforcement, and a husband's grief hardening into something implacable. Conceived as a returnable anthology, a different town, a different fracture, each season.
