Planning Intent
The supermarket — a symbol of free market capitalism.
Within its walls, a diverse group of individuals, each with their own agendas, find themselves trapped. Whether by choice or circumstance, their actions and conflicts reflect the everyday struggles of people surviving in a market-driven society. Through this confined yet dynamic setting, the film seeks to mirror the realities of a post-COVID era and offer a satirical lens into modern consumerism and economic disparity.

Synopsis
Jun-soo dreams of becoming a comedian. However, as the youngest son in a family of military men spanning three generations, the pressure to join the armed forces is immense. His girlfriend Hye-jin loves him, but dreads the idea of a life married to a soldier.

As a compromise, Jun-soo decides to become a security guard at a large supermarket. But on his very first day, an explosion rocks the store. The supermarket is taken over by a group of so-called “terrorists,” and Jun-soo steps up to defend it.

He gathers supplies from various sections of the store to prepare for a showdown. After a chaotic battle, he manages to reach the control room — only to discover that the "terrorists" are not what they seemed.

In a shocking twist, they turn out to be former outsourced security guards — Jun-soo’s old colleagues — who were unjustly laid off and had staged this operation to finally confront the corporate executives who had ignored them.

But the situation takes another unexpected turn. The security alarm fails to deactivate, and soon police forces, intelligence agencies, and even politicians surround the building. The government is in pursuit of an industrial spy disguised as an infected person inside the store, and politicians hope to benefit by acquiring a new virus strain to fast-track vaccine development.

Now, everyone trapped inside the store is falsely declared “infected” — and the pressure mounts from all directions…
