Summary
Title: The Unbroken Spirit of Donghak
On the eve of the fateful Battle of Ugeumchi, Min Gyu-tae meets with Jeon Bong-jun—the legendary "Nokdu General"—in a desperate attempt to persuade him to stand down. However, he fails to shake the noble, unyielding resolve of the General and his peasant army.
The following day, unable to bear the sight of the peasant forces being ruthlessly massacred by the Japanese military, Gyu-tae infiltrates the office of General Minami, the Japanese commander. His assassination attempt ends in failure, leaving him severely wounded and captured.
Bound and subjected to the bitter mockery of the Imperial forces, Gyu-tae is forced to watch the slaughter of tens of thousands of peasant soldiers, shedding tears of blood.
