Summary
A record of a neighborhood where a disaster occurred in 1986. It tells the story of a firefighter who rushed into the accident scene to extinguish the fire and his wife, an elderly woman who had to leave her home due to an eviction order, and Maru, a dog abandoned without any explanation. Through the voices of the lives who lived there—the people who protected the neighborhood, the photojournalist who documented them, and the soldiers who shot animals—we remember the neighborhood that had been forgotten.

In its first Broadway season (2022-2023), the company co-produced the musicals <& Juliet> and <Some Like It Hot,> with <& Juliet> achieving the fastest return on investment among new productions of 2022 and <Some Like It Hot> winning four Tony Awards at the 76th ceremony. In 2024, Library Company expanded into the West End with the musical <Two Strangers>. Having successfully debuted in the global musical market, the company plans to continuously expand its global projects through its U.S. subsidiary established last year.
Domestically, the company is developing various IPs with over 50 top-tier creative professionals from both Korea and abroad. Last year, Library Company secured stage adaptation rights to globally acclaimed original works, such as the play <Our Little Sister>, based on the film by Japanese director Hirokazu Koreeda. At the same time, the company co-produced, invested in, and distributed musicals like <Let Me Fly>, <Bronte>, <Emile>, and <Carmilla>, contributing to the revitalization of Korea's theater and musical markets.
In the second half of 2024, Library Company will present a diverse lineup of plays and musicals, including <The Sound Inside>, <The Lives of Others>, <Buchihanan>, <Long Long Nights>, <Tailor>, and <Ghost Bakery>, engaging with audiences in new and exciting ways.
