Description
The ocean is a heartless war zone, where the number one priority of inhabitants is 'survival.' In this dog-eat-dog world, how do these small organisms manage to survive?
The smaller the creature, the more taxing and competitive it gets to survive. Warty sea squirts are the size of a fingernail, but hundreds of microscopic organisms freeload off their surface, and 10-centimeter-long blennies engage in violent fights to protect their eggs from starfish. And during their spawning season, smooth lumpsuckers stay completely still to protect their eggs even as they are being devoured alive by sea urchins.
But all the harsh struggles of these small organisms make up what is a grand and beautiful ocean. Without them, the 2,000-kilometer coral reef community 'Great Barrier Reef' that can even be seen by satellites would not exist.
This UHD footage capturing the amazing survival strategies of small ocean creatures will remind you of the saying, 'It isn't the strongest that survive. The strongest are those that survive.'
