Description

K-POP superfan Himawari has been waiting for her idol’s fan meeting for years. But just before the event, her boyfriend’s cruel prank leaves her heartbroken, and she decides to head to Korea on her own. There, she has a fateful encounter with a Korean man named Sun. Their first meeting ends in disaster over a ruined photocards incident, and what begins as bad blood intensifies when she discovers he is connected to the “Sunshine Guesthouse” where she will be staying.

Sun, an aspiring hotelier, must successfully run the guesthouse to prove himself, while Himawari throws herself into planning fan events and birthday parties there. Thrown into a world of fandom culture he never understood, Sun stumbles through comical situations but gradually begins to see Himawari in a new light.

One night, a ghostly legend at the guesthouse forces them into an unexpected first kiss, leaving them both flustered and awkward. As they part ways, Sun is assigned to a “Hyunbok Birthday Café” project where he learns the language and rituals of fandom, while Himawari, wandering the streets of Hongdae, runs into her ex-boyfriend. Just as trouble looms, she is saved by Hanbit, a failed idol trainee now working as a barista. His sudden presence adds a new tension to her growing connection with Sun.

Welcome, Miss Sunflower! is a delightful K-romantic comedy about a Japanese girl who lives for fandom and a pragmatic Korean man who never understood it—two people who collide, grow, and slowly become each other’s biggest fans.
