The Seoul Ballet Theatre was founded in 1995 with the motto "Creating and popularizing Korean ballet” and is a private professional ballet that has been actively performing ever since, with its first director Kim In-hee, first artistic director Roy Tobias, and second artistic director and standing choreographer James Jeon.

Based on young enthusiasm and experimental spirits that are not afraid of challenges, we are recognized as a trend leader in the cultural and artistic world of Korea thanks to using a wide range of choreography, including modern and contemporary ballet.

The Seoul Ballet Theatre, which has produced more than 20 full-length and 80 single-act ballets over the past 25 years, has achieved the feat of exporting Korea’s creative repertoires abroad for the first time.
