Born in Pohang in 1989, Taeu graduated from Konkuk University's Film Department and Chung-Ang University Graduate School of Advanced Imaging then majored in acting at Myung Film Lab. After his debut in the film On the Beach at Night Alone directed by Hong Sangsoo in 2017, Taeu participated as line producer at Jeonwonsa Film Co and as producer, actor, and production crew in various Asia Film Lab works.
