Business Description
Robert (Sungyoon) Kim is the co-founder and CEO of iPortfolio Inc., a global AI EdTech company specialising in English education. He is the creator of READING &, an AI-powered digital English reading program, and the architect behind the Oxford Reading Club, developed in partnership with Oxford University Press and deployed in over 120 countries. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Seoul National University and has accumulated over 25 years of experience in IT and English education.
He is the author of two books: This Is All You Need for Your Child’s English Education and The Guessing Game: Brain-Addictive Methods for Learning English and Chinese. In recognition of his contributions to education and innovation, he has received multiple national awards, including the Grand Prize from the Minister of Education at Edutech Korea Fair (2022) and the Prize of Entrepreneurship at the National Competitiveness Awards (2019).
Mr. Kim has delivered over 150 lectures to parents, teachers, and education professionals, covering topics such as English education and the use of AI. Notable presentations include his 2024 UNESCO case presentation in Paris on the use of AI for ELT.
