Summary
Seven Joseonjok men, who were involved in brutal activities, found themselves on the run in South Korea after their boss betrayed them during their engagement in lucrative but heinous crimes, including organ trafficking. Led by Gwang-il, they managed to steal their boss's fortune and escape, but found themselves with nowhere to go.
In their desperation, they were offered help by Im Myeon-sik, a ship captain they knew through their illegal immigration operations. Speaking in a thick Chungcheong-do dialect, Im Myeon-sik promised to provide them with a place to hide and some decent work opportunities.
He suggested they flee to an isolated island named Gangdo, where law enforcement seldom reached. There, they could work in the salt fields while remaining hidden. Clinging to this last hope, they set out for Gangdo...
