"Hye-rin Lim is working at a stable American company in Washington, D.C., but she is gradually becoming worn out by the repetitive nature of her job. After work, she increasingly misses her Korean friends and family as she follows their daily lives on social media. By chance, Hye-rin reconnects with an old college classmate, Hyun-soo Kang, who is now teaching design at a university in Korea. Hye-rin envies Hyun-soo’s life, but Hyun-soo, in turn, admires Hye-rin's career as a designer in the U.S., lamenting the fact that he is wasting his time on students who show no interest in his classes. Both friends, longing for each other's lives, end their phone call with the sentiment, “You seem so happy.” A few months later, they reunite in Korea and decide to start a design office together. However, with inadequate startup funds, they end up launching their business from a location utterly unsuitable for a design firm—a butcher shop on the second floor. Thus begins their dramatic and tumultuous journey to success!
