The Media Future Vision Forum, aiming to boost the competitiveness of Korea's media platforms in this AI-driven era, is scheduled for July 16 at the Korea Press Center. Led by the Korea Press Foundation, this seminar will discuss strategies for building a sustainable ecosystem that supports creative content across various platforms, including newspapers, broadcasting, and the internet.
The forum will delve into the institutional support necessary for fostering innovation and growth in domestic media platforms amid the rise of AI-based digital content. It will also present policy recommendations to strengthen Korea's online video service (OTT) industry's international competitiveness. Koo Jong-sang, the forum's permanent representative, will advocate for new legislative measures in the 22nd National Assembly to update laws and facilitate AI technology adoption across media platforms.
Chaired by former KBS Media president Kim Dong-soo, the event will feature insights from experts like Yang Chang-kyu of Seoul Venture University and Noh Chang-hee from the Digital Industry Policy Institute. The discussion panel will include industry professionals such as Kim Woo-seok, a former member of the Broadcasting Communications Review Committee, and An Young-min, Media Content Planning Team Leader at the Korea Radio Promotion Association.
