JWK ENT is a content production company specializing in the development, planning, and production of feature-length animation. Founded in 2021, the company has focused on developing original IP rooted in Korea’s distinctive emotional sensibility and mythological imagination.
CEO Jung Wookyung has over 20 years of international animation production experience. At ToonBox Entertainment in Canada, he served as Main Producer and overall production supervisor, overseeing the full production of the feature animated films The Nut Job, which opened at No. 2 at the North American box office and generated approximately KRW 160 billion in worldwide revenue, and Spark.
He later served as Head of Animation at Mofac & Alfred Imageworks, where he participated in the global production of Illumination’s Minions short film DRENCHED. He also joined King of Kings, formerly titled The Life of Our Lord, as a producer and played a key role in its early development process, including the revision of the first draft, concept design development, pre-production setup, and the production of the first trailer.
King of Kings later achieved strong commercial and audience results, including a No. 2 opening at the North American box office, approximately USD 60 million in North American box office revenue, one million admissions in Korea within 19 days of release, a 98% Rotten Tomatoes Popcornmeter score, and an A+ CinemaScore. This hands-on experience across the full production pipeline — from pre-production and production management to pipeline development and international co-production — forms the core competency of JWK ENT.
JWK ENT is currently pursuing global co-production and investment for its two flagship projects, Haesol and The Millennium Forest. Haesol advanced to the final round of the Korea Story Contest, selected from approximately 2,500 submissions, and was presented through an on-site pitching session at MIFA, the industry market of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, in 2025. The project has also passed the preliminary review of a Korea Creative Content Agency animation planning and development program and is currently under final review, with results expected in June.
JWK ENT aims to develop premium feature-length animated films that combine a distinctly Korean worldview with universally resonant emotional storytelling, and to expand these works into global IP across multiple formats, including theatrical releases, series, games, publishing, and character licensing.

Business Description
JWK ENT is focused on the development of original animation IP and its global commercialization. The company is currently concentrating on advancing global co-production, investment, international distribution partnerships, and follow-on IP expansion based on its feature animation projects.
The flagship project, Haesol, is an emotional fantasy feature animation rooted in the imaginative world of Korean traditional mythology — including Kkokdu, wandering souls, and the spirit realm between life and death. Designed as a theatrical feature for family audiences, the project explores themes of memory, identity, loss, and healing, with the goal of translating Korea's distinctive emotional sensibility and mythological worldview into a universally resonant story and visual language for global audiences.
Haesol is currently in active development, with concept design and visual look development underway for key characters, the spirit world, and spatial environments, based on the completed screenplay and project materials. In parallel, the team is progressing select pre-production work and test animation development in preparation for investment meetings, co-production discussions, and international pitching — with the aim of presenting the project's production viability, visual quality, and global market potential in concrete terms.
Haetae's Bell is a Korean emotional fantasy project centered on Haetae, a mythological creature from Korean legend. The first draft of the screenplay has been completed. While it stands as an independent IP from Haesol, it shares the same foundation of Korean mythological worldbuilding and character expandability, and is being developed as a follow-on project within JWK ENT's growing slate.
JWK ENT aims to build a multi-IP content structure anchored by Haesol and Haetae's Bell, expandable across feature films, series, games, publishing, and character licensing. The company plans to pursue global co-production and international market entry through collaboration with producers, investors, and distributors across North America and Europe.
