Summary
Jeong-hae, who believes she has a Christmas jinx, has spent all of her twenties working on a factory line. To make the last Christmas of her twenties special, she buys a ticket to Vancouver timed to the maturity of her savings—but a sudden visa snag with Canada wipes out the plan. Instead, she sets off in search of the one dish her late father could eat in comfort: Pyeongyang cold noodles. What begins with excitement turns into a trip where nothing goes right, a string of setbacks from start to finish. On her way back home, Jeong-hae makes an impulsive, unplanned choice, and there she meets a man who just might break her Christmas jinx.
