Summary
Quiz on Korea is a 'Global Survival Quiz Program' in which Hallyu fans from all over the world compete for knowledge of Korean language and culture. It is a large-scale special project in which representatives from each country selected through regional preliminaries held at overseas missions around the world advance to the Korean finals to determine the final winner. Megatalk Korea did not just solve problems, but served as a key technical communication channel to connect participants from all over the world and Korean studios in real time
The main contents are as follows
Planning Intention: In line with the global Hallyu fever, we want to expand foreigners' interest in Korea to the Korean language and culture in general. Through this, we aim to spread the right knowledge about Korea and enhance a positive national image.
Major Targets: Global Hallyu fandom, which enjoys Korean content such as Korean language learners around the world, students from King Sejong Institute, K-pop and K-dramas, and Korean cultural interest groups at home and abroad are the main targets.
How to proceed: Through global qualifiers, local qualifiers are held annually at diplomatic missions and cultural centers in dozens of countries around the world (USA, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Indonesia, etc.). Selected national representatives are invited to Korea to participate in training camps, carry out cultural experience missions, and hold high-level Korean-related quiz competitions in the studio. The content produced in this way is not only broadcasted in Korea through KBS 1TV, but also transmitted worldwide simultaneously through KBS WORLD TV.
Program Objectives: It aims to realize public diplomacy by establishing a global friendly network by setting up a venue for exchanges among Hallyu fans around the world and spreading the enthusiasm for Korean language education.
