Description

The Alley” is a first-person psychological horror adventure game set in a dim, narrow Korean back alley late at night. You play as Soyeon, a high school student heading home after evening classes, who suddenly finds her familiar route twisted into an endless, labyrinth-like nightmare where reality and hallucination constantly blur.

The core gameplay revolves around distinguishing “Gwihun” — supernatural ghost traces — from “Heoggaebi,” eerie yet plausible phenomena that could happen in real life. Using a mysterious bracelet that reacts to ghostly traces and a camera, you investigate suspicious anomalies scattered throughout the alley, photograph them, and decide whether each one is truly a Gwihun or merely a Heoggaebi. Correctly identified Gwihun are converted into keys that open the “Chest of Truth,” gradually revealing the ghost’s past and the alley’s buried secrets.

All the while, a relentless ghost hunts you through cramped spaces and blind corners, turning every footstep, flickering light, and distant sound into another source of tension. With its focus on limited visibility, subtle audio-visual cues, and psychological pressure rather than simple jump scares, “The Alley” delivers a uniquely localized “K-alley horror” experience grounded in real Korean backstreets and old residential neighborhoods.
