Summary

BAJUYO is a contemporary brand that reinterprets the aesthetics of Korean traditional culture through a modern design language.

This content is inspired by Talchum, a traditional Korean masked dance rooted in satire and social commentary. The collection translates elements from Bongsan Talchum and Yangban Mask Dance into contemporary tailoring, combining subtle embroidery and structured silhouettes.

In collaboration with LINK SEOUL, BAJUYO led the overall production of a contemporary Talchum performance, expanding the project into a multidisciplinary cultural content that bridges fashion and performance.

Company Profile

The “..” symbol placed after the logo is a contemporary reinterpretation of the dot (ㆍ) from Hunminjeongeum, the original Korean writing system. Inspired by the structure of traditional Korean typography, this element symbolically expresses the brand’s cultural identity. It serves as a design device that reflects BAJUYO’s Korean origins and its inspiration from traditional culture, visually representing the brand’s foundation in Korean cultural heritage. In addition, the word “KOREA” placed beneath the logo emphasizes the brand’s Korean roots and cultural identity, signifying that BAJUYO draws inspiration from traditional Korean culture while expanding it through a contemporary design perspective.
